| The Detrroit Rose Society had a full house (about 50 members), at the Annual Holiday Party. Wonderful food, good company, a gift exchange and the presentation of Annual Awards were highlights of the afternoon. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Renee Lower serves as Chairman of the Holiday Party Committee. Shown with her husband Jan, she once again managed to produce a sparkling affair. Renee sits on the Board of the Detroit Rose Society, is an active exhibitor and new Consulting Rosarian. With the assistance of her supportive husband and family, she maintains an award winning rose garden overlooking a lake in Troy, MI. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Jim Hill was presented the 2007 ARS Bronze Honor Medal for outstanding service to the Detroit Rose Society by President Lynne Hammill. Jim is a DRS Past-President, Ernest Shoensee Memorial Award Winner, Master Consulting Rosarian, a member of the Board, past editor of the 'Rose Lore' and a successful exhibitor. He can often be found helping the public at DRS sponsored events and giving programs on rose pruning, exhibiting and rose culture. Jim serves the DRS as the Consulting Rosarian Coordinator and was the guiding force behind the 2007 DRS sponsored Consulting Rosarian School. Jim has been honored by the Great Lakes District with the Outstanding Consulting Rosarian Award. |

| Roman Kwarcinski was presented the 2007 Ernest Schoensee Memorial Award in recognition of outstanding service given the Detroit Rose Society by Lynne Hammill, outging DRS President. Roman is a past president of the Detroit Rose Society, a Consulting Rosarian and a Horticulture Judge. He serves as Editor of the 'Rose Lore' and is on the Board of Directors. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
